Clear answers to common questions
You can trial either of the products (Adoption Studio or Adoption Agent) for 14 days, with no credit card required and access the full functionality of that product during your trial. Reach out to us to request changes and custom configurations during your trial period at support@userflow.com.
You can start with either one — both are designed to work standalone. Studio handles proactive adoption; Agent handles the inbound side. That said, because both run off the same Flow library, adding the second product later takes minutes, not months. There’s no rebuild. Many teams start with one and expand when they’re ready.
Both products run off the same Flow library — you build a Flow once and it’s available to both. The difference is how Flows reach your users. With Studio, you configure everything: which users see which Flow, under which conditions, at which point in their journey. It deploys those experiences proactively. With Agent, your users initiate — they send a chat, Agent reads what they’re asking, finds the most relevant Flow in your library, and guides them through it. (Or if there’s no relevant Flow, Agent will answer their question based on its training on your product.) Studio is for designing the journey in advance. Agent is for being there when users reach out.
A Monthly Active User is anyone who visits your app (where Userflow is installed) within a rolling 30-day window. If you need more, you can purchase additional bundles.
Each plan includes a monthly AI credit allowance. AI credits are used when the Adoption Agent generates a response to a user question. By default, one AI credit covers two AI messages, and each AI message is a single answer generated by the AI Assistant. If you need more, you can purchase additional credit bundles.
Nothing changes with your current Startup or Pro plan. Existing customers can remain on your current plan and pricing. You can view your current features on the billing page within your app.
Yes. You can add or remove products as your needs evolve.
Userflow is designed for customer-obsessed teams to use independently. While you can build Flows without it, in order for your users to see your Flows, you’ll need to install the Userflow JavaScript snippet, which typically takes just a few minutes and may require minimal engineering help.
SOC 2 Type II certified, meets ISO 27001 and GDPR Standards. US and EU data residency. Your data is encrypted and hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). AI conversation data is never used to train external models. We never sell or share your users’ data.
